Denver Research Institute (DRI), founded in 1997, serves as the non-profit organization affiliated with the VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System. It is dedicated to research and its associated educational and scientific endeavors. DRI complements the health and medical care of veterans by enhancing the intellectual viability of the hospital and providing new and innovative treatments.

The strength of DRI lies in its ability to understand and quickly respond to the unique needs of the research community. DRI is especially useful to investigators in the pre- and post-award assistance and management, and clinical trial management. DRI is as flexible and non-restrictive as possible while meeting its obligations as a non-profit organization.

The Board of Directors consists of individuals with an extensive background in health care and research. DRI derives funding from research and education grants submitted to various agencies, non-profit corporations, private industry, as well as private donations.
