DE Synthetics (DES) is a provider of synthetic and general organic chemistry support for companies and institutions engaged in research & development activities.

DES is fully operated in North America in close proximity to northeastern U.S. and Canadian research centers.

With 12 years of past experience in pharmaceutical preclinical scale-up synthesis (up to kg scale), often under strict timelines, the company leadership has a proven track record in a fast paced research environment. This experience at the juncture of research and development from within the pharma industry has instilled a unique insight of the issues involved in both medicinal and process chemistry. During that time active pharmaceutical ingredients (API’s) were synthesized on several hundred gram scale and used in preclinical toxicology, efficacy, pharmacokinetic, and formulation studies.

DES has experience with a wide range of organic chemistry including synthesis, extraction, purification, and characterization; synthesis of various heterocyclic, aromatic, acyclic, and chiral scaffolds have been accomplished, as well as studies directed towards natural product synthesis. Synthetic expertise in areas such as metal catalyzed coupling chemistry, functional group manipulations, C-C bond forming reactions, scale-up chemistry, asymmetric synthesis, substitution reactions, amide formations, halogenations, hydrogenations, etc.

Availability of in-house and local analytical support such as HPLC, NMR, mass spectrometry, CHNS, FTIR, DSC, TGA, X-ray crystallography, polarimetry.
