DARTS Sciences utilizes the patented Drug Affinity Responsive Target Stability (DARTS) technology to identify the binding targets of small molecule drugs and compounds. DARTS represents a paradigm change because it does not require modification, immobilization, or purification of the small molecule nor does it depend on the compound’s biological activity. Rather, DARTS takes advantage of the thermodynamic stabilization that occurs in the target protein upon drug binding, which results in a pronounced and specific protection from protease digestion. This specificity can be exploited to identify the binding target(s) of a small molecule with any cell lysate or protein mixture. We can perform both targeted DARTS analyses (target engagement) against specific protein targets or unbiased proteome-wide DARTS and mass spectrometry to identify multiple binders for your drug de novo.
