The Institute of Parasitology is part of the Czech Academy of Sciences. The Institute performs research on human and animal parasites at the organismal, cellular and molecular levels.​ The mission of the Institute is to acquire, enhance and distribute knowledge about the biology and ecology of parasitic protozoa and eukaryotic microorganisms, helminths, and arthropods. The Institute carries out not only research but also education on a national and international level.
