The mission and purpose of the Two-Photon Fluorescence Microscopy Core is to educate, train and support the Cedars-Sinai research community in in vivo imaging of small animal models (e.g., tumor biology, immunology, stem cell tracking, vascular imaging, senescence imaging, etc.).
The core instrument is built around a Leica SP5 upright microscope and Spectra-Physics Mai Tai femtosecond laser.
The confocal core provides imaging services for researchers at Cedars-Sinai. The core can help image live and fixed samples such as cells and tissue sections. We offer a wide variety of imaging techniques such as spectral imaging, FRET and FRAP.
