The Idaho Microfabrication Laboratory (IMFL) at Boise State University is a research and education resource dedicated to the research and advancement of materials and processes used in micro & nano electronics design and fabrication.

The IMFL consists of a small gowning room, a 900 ft2 Class 1000 cleanroom, a 1500 ft2 process lab, a 700 ft2 microscopy lab and a 900 ft2 metrology lab. The IMFL is equipped to fabricate microelectronic devices using thin film deposition, chemical processing, etching and planarization. Characterization of many different types of materials can also be accomplished along with access to the Boise State Surface Science Lab and the Boise State Center for Materials Characterization.
