The VISICORT Foundation Biobank (VFB) stored and curated by Biostór is a sustainable resource of bio-specimens to support future research in Eye Diseases. VFB has a legacy of 50,000 highly curated samples of plasma, tears, DNA, RNA, aqueous humour, donor & recipient corneal tissue and peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs).
Since 2014 VISICORT has profiled data and collected 50,000 bio-specimens from 1,300 Corneal Transplant Patients throughout Europe in three clinical studies to uniquely link their biological profiles with current and future transplant outcomes to determine better transplant results.
