BCRS is full service SRO, specialized in Drug Development and Human Biospecimen procurement for research purposes. Our FFPE Tissue Cassettes, Frozen or Fresh Tissues and Blood and Blood Products as Serum, Plasma or other bio-fluids contains detailed clinical, pathological and demographic data.

We are a privately held Bulgarian company, incorporated as BCRS in 2012 in Sofia, Bulgaria. 5 years later we have offices in Belgrade, and Skopje. Our partnering companies in Budapest, Prague, Ljubljana, Podgorica and Moscow are supporting our efforts to reach as big as possible diversity of indications and specimens for the shortest possible amount of time.

The core team of the company has 19 employees and consultants including Pathologists, Cell Biologists, Biochemists, CRAs, and Medical Doctors.
During the last 3 years we have collected considerable number of bio-specimens in our bank. The prevailing numbers of samples are FFPE tissue cassette blocks. With all other projects that requires different bio specimens or we do not have in our repository, we work prospectively.

Understandably all samples are collected from our continuously growing network established during the last 5 years in more than 8 EU and non-EU countries. The specimens are collected from 65 academic and clinical institutions according to the local regulatory requirements in the countries of operation.

Quality Control (QC)
BCRS has developed a strict Quality Control Program to ensure that the human specimens it provides are continually checked for quality throughout their collection, processing, storage, and shipment.
