The Center for Microscopy and Imaging (CMI) at Baylor University is a central laboratory located in the A-wing (A153R) of the Baylor Science Building (BSB) in Waco, Texas. Its main goals are to provide students and researchers with scientific support through state of the art techniques, current academic knowledge, an awareness of current scientific opinion and scientific excellence.
The center in its current form was established in October 2014 in order to assuage the growing demand for imaging dynamic ultrastructural changes in biological samples. The center hosts transmission electron, scanning electron and confocal laser scanning microscopy and provides the necessary equipment for sample preparation for life and material sciences.
We are dedicated to teaching researchers and students to prepare specimens and use our microscopes to independently explore the smaller details of our world.
