The Mouse Phenotyping Core is one of the most comprehensive Phenotyping Cores in the United States. We occupy a 3,400-square-foot space dedicated to enhance research at the Baylor College of Medicine.
We provide investigators with state-of-the-art equipment for the identification and study of mouse models of human disease and drug studies. The core establishes protocols for the phenotyping of these mouse models. Promotion of educational opportunities for students and post docs is our mission. We also strive to generate collegiality between investigators and faculty/trainees from cores and centers.
The MPC is located within an AALAC accredited animal facility on the main Baylor campus. The facility includes non-invasive testing and imaging equipment, a dedicated surgical suite, several surgical services, animal housing, administrative and technical staff offices, and a data analysis workstation area.
We have a full-time director and two laboratory technicians on staff to assist you. The MPC is available to all investigators at Baylor and outside institutions and we stand to promote educational opportunities for students and post docs.
