Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago Diagnostic Immunology and Flow Cytometry

The Diagnostic Immunology and Flow Cytometry Laboratory is a CLIA-approved and CAP-certified full-service high-complexity laboratory as well as a Jeffrey Modell Foundation designated Diagnostic and Research Laboratory for Primary Immunodeficiency Diseases. We also participate in the NIH-Division of AIDS Multicenter AIDS Cohort Study (MACS) program. Our laboratory performs over 71,000 diagnostic tests each year covering the sub-specialties of primary immunodeficiency diseases, allergy and immunology, rheumatology, autoimmune and infectious-disease serology and hematologic malignancies. The assay platforms utilized in the laboratory include 8 color flow-cytometry, automated enzyme immunoassays, automated allergen RAST assays, rate nephelometry, indirect immunofluorescence and tritiated-thymidine incorporation based assays to assess lymphocyte proliferation.
