Agraferm Technologies AG, based in Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm, Germany, was founded in 2004 by a team of biogas experts who wanted to use their know-how to put an innovative fermentation method into practice – with zero dependence on specific component manufacturers. In the first few years, plants were built in Germany and the performance of the technology was proven. In the subsequent years, the business gained an increasingly international orientation.
Agraferm is one of the few full service providers of agricultural and industrial anaerobic digestion (AD) plants. Our profound knowledge of process engineering is applied especially in plants of greater than 1 MW power. The largest plant, rated at 15 MW, is currently in construction.
