ABCB8 Antibody (N-term) Blocking Peptide

Abcepta

DETAILS

  • Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
  • Gene Id: 11194
  • Category: Peptides; Blocking Peptides
  • Subtitle: Synthetic peptide
  • Gene Name: ABCB8
  • Other Names: ATP-binding cassette sub-family B member 8, mitochondrial, Mitochondrial ATP-binding cassette 1, M-ABC1, ABCB8, MABC1
  • Availability: 2 weeks
  • Bio Background: ABCB8 is a member of the superfamily of ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters. ABC proteins transport various molecules across extra- and intra-cellular membranes. ABC proteins are divided into seven distinct subfamilies (ABC1, MDR/TAP, MRP, ALD, OABP, GCN20, White). This protein is a member of the MDR/TAP subfamily. Members of the MDR/TAP subfamily are involved in multidrug resistance as well as antigen presentation. The function of this half-transporter has not yet been determined; however, it may involve the compartmentalization and transport of heme, as well as peptides, from the mitochondria to the nucleus and cytosol. The protein may also play a role in the transport of phospholipids into mitochondrial membranes.

  • Primary Accession: Q9NUT2
  • Targetspecificity: The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP6129a was selected from the N-term region of human ABCB8. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.
