LEKTI (E-9)

Santa Cruz Biotechnology

DESCRIPTION:
mouse monoclonal IgG2a; LEKTI Antibody (E-9) is an IgG2a κ mouse monoclonal LEKTI antibody (also designated LEKTI antibody) that detects the LEKTI protein of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF, IHC(P) and ELISA. LEKTI Antibody (E-9) is available as both the non-conjugated anti-LEKTI antibody form, as well as multiple conjugated forms of anti-LEKTI antibody, including agarose, HRP, PE, FITC and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Lympho-epithelial Kazal-type inhibitor (LEKTI) is a serine protease inhibitor which protects mucous epithelia against microbial attack and inflammation. LEKTI is a marker of epithelial differentiation and expresses strongly in the granular and uppermost spinous layers of the epidermis and differentiated layers of stratified epithelia. Defects in SPINK5, the gene encoding LEKTI are the cause of Netherton syndrome, a severe autosomal recessive disorder characterized by atopic dermatitis, hayfever and other conditions.
