DETAILS
- Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
- Gene Id: 5500
- Category: Peptides; Blocking Peptides
- Subtitle: Synthetic peptide
- Gene Name: PPP1CB
- Other Names: Serine/threonine-protein phosphatase PP1-beta catalytic subunit, PP-1B, PPP1CD, PPP1CB
- Availability: 2 weeks
- Bio Background: The protein encoded by this gene is one of the threecatalytic subunits of protein phosphatase 1 (PP1). PP1 is aserine/threonine specific protein phosphatase known to be involvedin the regulation of a variety of cellular processes, such as celldivision, glycogen metabolism, muscle contractility, proteinsynthesis, and HIV-1 viral transcription. Mouse studies suggestthat PP1 functions as a suppressor of learning and memory. Twoalternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinctisoforms have been observed.

- Primary Accession: P62140
- Targetspecificity: The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP13874b was selected from the C-term region of PPP1CB. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.
